Covid-19 Statement July 2020

From the 4th July the Government relaxed lockdown rules to allow self-catering cottages to open again. The guidelines and risk assessment for the safeguarding of guests, owners and employees are necessarily demanding and complex.

The requirements for protective clothing, instructions for disinfecting, deep cleaning, a questionnaire to be sent to guests before arrival, and dealing with any illness or infection are daunting.

It is our view that, for one small cottage, these requirements are hugely demanding on both guests and ourselves. We believe it is best to delay the opening of the cottage until the level of Covid-19 illness is reduced and when guidelines for owners and guests are relaxed still further.

We therefore regret that we do not plan to open the cottage for the time being. We will review the position at the end of August.

We hope that you will understand and will want to stay with us at some time in the future.
